GanzBot Jr
GanzBotJr is a mobile robot I built back in 2000.
This guy is pre-Arduino, so the main MCU is a 68HC11 with another ‘HC11 in the head talking together over SPI. Head also has a PIC16F84 for lights and sensors. A few more PIC12CE519‘s for custom IR sensors do 40 KHz IR modulation and detection in assembly. LMD18200 H-bridges for motor drives. Single pointable Polaroid Sonar. A couple of Sharp IR sensors. RC Systems Text to Speech Synthesizer. 12V 7AH lead acid battery. Single UART muxed like crazy. All very cutting edge 2000…
