GanzBot IV was my second balancing robot. More of a development project than a finished robot. Built around 2018/2019, therefore used more modern components and construction than his predecessors. Check it out at GANZBOT IV.
GanzBot PBR was my first 2 wheeled balancing robot. Segway-style. I just finished digging through his docs and put together a write-up on him. Check it out at GANZBOT PBR.
This is only a brief page so far. CNC REV 2 is planned to be a bigger and faster machine to replace CNC REV 1. This initial content documents the objectives, high level concept, and some of the progress so far. Parts are slowly trickling in on the slow boat… Check it out at CNC REV 2.
I made a homemade CNC out of MDF and eBay junk back in 2009. Just finished documenting that. eBay’d steppers and linear rails that were all pulled out of equipment to save $. Dremel tool for a spindle motor. Built to make custom switch panels for Flight Sim Version 4. Details now up at CNC Rev 1.
Content for Flight Sim Ver 4 created. Dug up old photos and described the overall setup. Used for a few years and was my first dive into CNC’ing my own switch panels. Actually built a homemade CNC for this project. Will probably document the CNC next, then on to more robot content.
Completed content for Flight Sim Ver 5. This is the most recent version and therefore was the longest to write up. I managed to dig up lots of photos from the construction and took new ones for the latest status. This is the final flight sim version – upgrades to this will definitely continue to be made periodically, but this is the latest major revision. Hopefully I learned enough from the previous revisions to really make that stick.
Created the ROBOTS section and populated content for the oldest two robots – GanzBotJr and GanzBot 1988. These were the easier ones to document since I dug up their archaic website and put it up here after being offline for years. It’s from back when people wrote HTML code for the whole deal. I don’t miss that, and it’s cheesy looking. Check it out under ROBOTS. More robot content coming soon – all 2 wheeled balancing robots – GanzBot PBR, GanzBot IV, and a balancing legged project that’s just begun and doesn’t have a good name yet.
Created the FLIGHT SIM section. It will show my crazy journey making flight sim cockpits. Built 5 major versions over the years. Added the “easy” content first, i.e. the older versions which have less to document. Pages for Flight Sim versions 1, 2, and 3 are complete. Check it out at FLIGHT SIM. Probably write up Flight Sim Ver 5 next, then Ver 4, depending on how adventurous I feel.
Added new page on C# Wireless Dashboard. It’s a .NET project I made for plotting data real-time and wireless parameter tuning for one of the GanzBot robots. It has a nice GUI interface, and is usable by any system with UARTs since it uses Bluetooth modules. They’re permanently slaved to each other, so they pair at boot every time – no messing around with WiFi or incessant Bluetooth pairing lights. Check it out at C# WIRELESS DASHBOARD. Once I clean up the code, I’ll publish that on my GitHub.
Created category “OLD” and added three pages of content on old projects. This is stuff from the early 2000’s, mostly related to NiCd/NiMH battery charging and cycling. I was flying electric RC aircraft back then and made some of my own equipment since I was cheap! Check it out at OLD.
